Overview
Below all common features will be described. These are features of the DBManager framework and available for each plugin.
Toolbar
Depeding on the module openened you see different toolbar and menuitems.
Statusview
All modules will printout the status messegaes to the bottom of the main window. All these messages will also be written to the logfiles.
Log- and Debugsettings
Even if I try to avoid as many bugs as possible, sometimes one slips through. To find this more easily you can enable the logfunction. You can control you many logfiles are created and how big one single file is allowed to become. In an error case please send me (to support@ok-edv.de) these files plus a detailed error description "how to reproduce" and I will remove the limitation as soon as possible.
Description of the window:
- Debuglevel
* All: all outputs (defaultsetting) * Debug: Debug-, Info-, Warning- and Error * Info: All Info- und Warning- and Erroroutput (no debug) * Warning: Warning- and Erroroutput * Error: Only output regarding error messages
- Max. Size: Maximum size of one logfile
- Max. amount of files: Maximum number of allowed logfiles (each max Size big)
- Logfile: Path to logfiles
Language selection
Via the menutiem extras/language or depending on the setting choosen while program start you can change the language of the graphical interface. Currently
- English
- German
are fully supported other languages are planned but not yet supported (even if you can select them).

There are three staroptions:
- Show dialog: At each program start you can select the language manually
- Use selekted language: No popupdialog at programm start, the chose language will be used
- Use default language: No popup at programm start. The windows system language will be used (or german if not available).
De- Activate modules
Starting with 2.0.2626 you can select the modules you wnat to deactivate at programm start.
Each selected module will NOT be loaded at the next start.
Create a new database
Currently 4 database types (or connection types) are supported:
Create a SQLite database
Create a MS Access database (via ODBC)
Create a MS SQL database (via ODBC)
Create a MS SQL database (native via TCP/IP)
Open a database
Open a SQLite Database
Here you can open a already existing database.
Open a MS Access database
Open a MS SQL database
License dialog
If a module needs a license (e.g. for data export) you may enter you data here.
